RIOTS IN EGYPT.
AGGRESSION BY STUDENTS. By Telegraph. —Press Assn. —'Jcpyrlßht. Received December 25, 5.5 p.m. Cairo, Dec, 21. Aggression and intimidation by students keep the unrest dangerously simmering. The main weapon at present is stonethrowing. There was never such stonethrowing in history. Thousands of the students, with organised relays of boys to keep up barrages, retire behind walls into buildings, from which they throw j stones. The tram services were suspendj ed owing to the stoning, j The movement is confined to students, who call to aid street urchins and the rabble, but even the moderates are so intimidated that they are afraid to express their views. The seriousness of the position is j shown by the arrival of more troops. — Times Service.
