ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FOUND DROWNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The body of John Creightoii, aged 76 years, a retired carrier, was found in the harbor on Christmas Day. A.t the inquest, a verdict of found, drowned was returned, there being no evidence to show how deceased got into the water.
KILLED WHILE MOTORING. Gisborne, Last Night. A motor accident, which resulted in the death of a Maori named Moana Hemi Totoru, occurred this evening oil the Kaiti beach. A motor car, containing eight natives, was going up the beach, and, when near the Cook monument, one wheel came off. The car overturned, Totoru being pinned underneath. He was alive when extricated, but died soon after admission to Cook Hospital. Two other qativn were hurt- -but aot seriously.
