MAIL NOTICES.
NEW PLYMOUTH. Postal branch: Thursday Dec. 2i», and Thursday January 1 (Christmas and New Year's Days), will be observed as close holidays. On Friday, December 2G (Boxing Day), the post office will be open in all branches, except Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The telegraph office will bo open on Thursday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), from 10 a.m. to 10 30 a.m , and from 5 to 5 30 p m. On Friday, Dec. 2G {Boxing Day), and Thursday, January 1 (New Year's Day), the hours will be from 9 a m. to 12 noon, and 7 p.m. to (midnight. The telephone exchange will' remain open continuously. Sunday, hours will be observed' In the private box lobby on Dec 25 and January 1, usual hours on December 26 (Boxing Day). Malls usually despatched on Thursday will be closed Wednesday nights December 24 and SI, at 8 p.m. On December 26 (Boxing Day) the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. wil! bo made. The railway travelling post office will run as usual. Counter deliveries of town letters (Including registered) will be made on Wednesdays, Dec. 24 and 31, from 8 to-9 p.m. Postmen will malse one complete delivery on Dec. 20 (Boxing Day), commencing at 7.30 am. There will be no delivery on either Christmas or New Year's Day. For Auckland and North, per s,s. Rarawa, Monday and Wednesday, &t 7 p.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 5. For United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, United States of America, Central and South America, West Indies, via Vancouver; also, Honolulu, Japan, Fanning Island and Fiji (per s.s Niagara, from Auckland), at 6.1f) am.
