Business promises to be brisk this 'Xmas. Walking round the shops on Saturday one was surprised to see the number of people. Most of the places visited were full and the assistants were going at top. There are some gtiod window displays, and. altogether the town loqjts brighter and busier than it has been for a long time. No doubt now that the boys are nearly all home folk are laying themselves out to have a real gofd time during tiie holiday season. The meat works are starting killing again, and I notice pigs are coming forward. Most of us are wondering whether it is possible to get a ham this year. ELTHAM SPORTS.
