THEIR FUTURE CONTROL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received December 19, 11.10 p.m. London, Dec. 19. When asked in the House of Commons what would be done with Constantinople and the Dardanelles Mr. Lloyd George said they could not be left in the hands of the Bame gatekeeper, who slammed them in our face. He added: "If the Dardanelles had been open we would have shortened the war by two or three years, but they were treacherously shut. We cannot trust the same porter again."—Aus.-N.Z.
