Griffiths, it is claimed, Mack Sennett lia? topped popularity's pole in liis first big special. Brimful of incident and surcharged with every element of modern appeal is "Mickey," the eight reels super-feature with Mabel Normand in the title role, which is to be shown for one night only at the King's Cinema Theatre, commencing on Tuesday 23rd., under the direction of Leo', de Chateau's International Attractions. Probably a third of the footage is devoted to opportunities for Miss Normand. Her grasp 'of the subtleties of screen acting have never been equalled. Jter expressive eyes and mobile countenance responded to every mood, and Mickey became a living, breathing personality, vivified by the undisputed ability of 'this adorable creature. As a motion picture star she possesses the talent which will immortalise the name of Normand. Special music accompanies this super attraction which will include the song "Mickey." The box plans will he opened at the Marble Bar on Saturday. T. Lamason's sale will be held to-day (Saturday), when he will be selling some fine lines of Christmas poultry. He has a particularly good line of fine young geese, and can take orders for poultry now. Only a few more days to Christmas Eve, and, busy ones at that.
