THE BRONTOSAURUS.
ENCOUNTERED BY GAME HUNTER. WELL KNOWN TO. NATIVES. By Telegraph.—Presss Assn.—Copyright, Received Dec. 17, 7.15 p.m. London, Dec. 15. Mr. John Jordan, the big game hunter, and a Fellow of the Geographical Society has informed the Daily Mail that he encountered a brontosaurus at Magorie River, Lake Victoria, in 1907. It had a lion-like head and walrus fangs, was eighteen feet in length, and was scaled, having leopard-like spottings. He fired at the animal, but it escaped. The natives are well acquainted with the brontosaurus, and they call it "Bingoeck, or Noquta."—United Service.
