THE MEAT TRADE.

FOREIGN MARKETS FOR DOMINIONS. By Teleeraph.—Preaa Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec. 14. 'The Committee on Meat recommends diplomatic action to remove the restrictions on importation of Dominion meat into foreign countries. It also recommends that Government contracts should be confined to producers of the United Kingdom and th - Dominions. The Committee is not prepared to recommend a proposal to stimulate production in the Dominions by a subsidy, but it says the question should be discussed when the questions of tariffs, bounties and subsidies under the general trade policy are being considered. The Committee recommends the continuance of an organisation similar to the Refrigerated Tonnage Committee. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
