Chaytor, K.C.M.G., who won such high honors during th« war:— "My opinion is that the moderate .: use of <iood ale or wine ia often beneficial, but that whenever drink is available it is practically impossible to control it, with the result that any benefit derived from its use is very small in comparison with the crime, sickness, and Buffering caused by its misuse."
