BUTCHERS AND BAKERS.
NEW AWARDS PILED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 8. The awards filed in the butchers' dispute fixes the hours at 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. four days a week, with one hour for dinner; Saturday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with 1% hours for meals; Wednesday 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Wages: First shopman oV small-goods man not less than £4 7s v <sd, second shopman £3 17s Bd, all .other workers £3 12s fld weekly, a bonus of os to all workers, overtime rate, time and a half; female labor, except the wife or daughter of the employer, is prohibited. There is special provision for females in bona fide pork butchers, the hours not to exceed 47 per week and "'ages from £1 5s to £ 2 10s according to length of service. Duration' of the award js from January 1, 1920, to October 20, 1921. The bakers' award has been filed today. It limits the hours to 48 per week, regulated by the employer, and overtime in excess of ten hours worked in any one day. Wages: Minimum, foreman baker or pastrycook, £4 5s per week, journeyman £3 15s, laborer £3 as, bonus In addition 4s per week. . The award is from December 20, 1919, to December 29
