THE GENERAL COMMITTEE. The General committee of the Taranaki A." and P. Association met on Saturday afternoon. Present: Messrs. W. B. Grant (in the chair), A. T. Moore, H. C. Sampson, J. R. Rowlands, A. P. Lister, E. C. Stanley, T. A. Taylor, J. A. Kurtn, H Stonex, F. Dodunski, S. Vickers, A. R Gudopp, C. W. Renbe, A. Turnbull, A. ■i. Luxton, C. Fairbrother, A. E. Washer, Z. T. Walker, R. H. Pigott, and A. R. Davis. The matter of having a style erected over the fences at the rifle range was left in the hands of the ground committee with power to act. The Winter Show dates were fixed for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the second week in June. The secretary was instructed Jo get in touch with the local factory managers with reference to a revision of the dairy division schedule. It was decided to interview the local seed merchants with a view to obtaining special prizes for the acreage competitions. Mr. G. W. Browne was asked to report on the matter of erecting flag poles j on the grandstand and the pavilions. Tt was decided to circularise members, other than those paying through dairy factories, informing them that their subscriptions were now due, and thai parly payment will ensure their getting tickets and other privileges for the autumn show.
Special prizes of £4, £2, and £1 will be awarded for calves In the first Taranaki Jersey Oaks. It was decided to increase the prizemoney in the hunters' championship jumping competitions to: Ist prize £SO, 2nd prize £l°. and 3rd prize £5. The following new members were elected: Messrs W. Colson, G. S. Millar, and G. H. Short.
