BREAKING THE SABBATH.
To the Editor. Sir, —In a recent issue I see a local business house has been fined for allowing workmen to renovate premises on a Sunday. I think this question of Sunday liibor wants putting down with a firm hand. -t.s a country dweller it i makes me siek to see the Sabbath dese- < crated week in and week out by an army of land agents and stock dealers rushing round Sunday after Sunday, selling and buying as if the whole world depended upon it. Surely if the Great Creater of this universe, in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to appoint one day in seven for rest, we should honor His command. It is simply a matter of greed, and I am a bit surprised at the heads of some of our big firms on this coast countenancing the same.—l am, etc., "KEST." Urenui, December 3.
