DISCUSSION m PARLIAMENT. Bj Telegraph.—Press Asul—Copyright. London,, Dee. 1 Mr. Delvin asked Mr. Forstei whether he would make a statement in regard to Father O'Donnell's trial. idx. H. W. Ferster (Parliamentary Secretary to the War Offlh), sard he was not in a position to mike a statement at present but would do so as soon es possible. -" Mr, Devlin asked' Mr. Bonar Law whether, in view of the vital importance of the matter to the honor and dignity of the army and in defence to the indignant feeling of the Australian people, it was treating the House fairly that the Under-Secretary should give such an answer. ; Mr. Bonar Law said he quite realised the seriousness of the matter, but it was impossible for the Government to answer until the matter had been inquired into. Sir H. 3. Dalziel asked whether the House would have an apportunlty of discussing the matter. Mr. Bonar Law said the House should await the report. The Government quite realised the matter must be sifted to the bottom. Mr. McVeagh asked whether the officers concerned had been suspended from duty. Mr. Bonar Law: We don't condemn people without trying them. Mr. Devlin asked leave to move an adjournment, but the Speaker refused to accept the motion, stating that there mart be an inquiry.—Ans.-N 2. Cable Am.
