Heart tirls' High School, Christchurch.) Junior (subject, "The Battle of 3nti hxnd.")_Boys: Duncan McGregor (Maori Hill School, Dunedin.. Girls: Doreen Wills (Richmond School, Nelson). Most of the secondary schools' of the Dominion competed, and a large number of primary schools, 250 essays being re« ceived. •
