TN pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1008, and its Amendments, I, John Lodewyk Crowther, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waitomo, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 28th day of November, 1919, under the hand of the Clerk df the Writs, an election will be held f*: the return of a qualified person to servers member for the said district; and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be Noon on the Bth day of December, 1919; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on the Seventeenth day of December, 1919. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomination-paper as prescribed by section 105 of the said delivered to the Returning Officer on or before Noon on the Eighth day of December, 1919. STATE PURCHASE AND CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals, must be lodged with me not later than five o'clock in the afternoon of the Bth day of December, 19>19. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 13th day of December, 1919, at the hour of 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in "Courthouse," Te Kuiti, publicly consider all nomination-papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll.
