DROUGHT IN THE TRANSVAAL. Capetown, Dec. 2. Wheat at Johannesburg fetched 50s per 2001b bag, a record price. The position is regarded with anxiety, owing to the shortage through drought. It is hoped that Australia will be able to release supplies shortly. AMERICAN PEACE DELEGATION. Paris, Dec. 2. The American delegation is remaining owing to the German delay in signing the protocol. CANADIAN LOYALTY. Ottawa, Dec. 2. The Councillors of Kitchener (Ontario), who attempted to restore the name of the town to Berlin, were ducked in a horse pond by returned soldiers, who beat some senseless and compelled the remainder to kiss the Union Jack. They also wrecked the office of a newspaper which had published criticisms of the Prince of Wales.
