THE LEAGUE GAME. NEW ZEALAND TOUK. By Tolegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Seven matches in. New Zealand will bo played by the English Northern Union Loague representatives next season. This decision was come to at a meeting of the New Zea- ■ land executive./ [ Tho New South Wales Union wrote supplying particulars of the proposed itinerary of tiio English team In their Australian tour and requesting the local body to draw up a Dominion programme. This was agreed to as follows: Test matches at Chrlstchurch, Wellington, and Auckland, and a fourth match at Auckland against the local representatives, these four matches to be played on Saturday. In addition, three mid-week matches will ho played, one cadi at Hamilton, Napier, and Groymouth. the latter team to include Marlborough and Nelson players. Grants of £3O were allocated to the West Coast and Wellington Leagues. Rules governing tho Thacker Shield were discussed and certain suggested alterations were referred to the Canterbury League. It was decided to present an appropriate souvenir to each member of tho New Zealand team which recently toured Australia.
