ATTACKS ON* BOLSHEVIKS. / SUCCESS OF THE ESTHONIANS. Received Dec. 1, 8.5 p.m. Copenhagen, Nov. 27. Reval advices show that the Bolsheviks at Narva are continually attacking the Esthonians, and from excellent covered positions, are inflicting heavy losses on the Bolsheviks, while their own losses are slight.—Aus.-N.Z. Caolo Assn. A BROKEN ARMY. PITIABLE PLIGHT OF YUDENITCH. Stockholm, Nov. 27. • A pitiful story regarding the destruction of Yudenitch's army comes from the Esthonian headquarters. An overwhelming disaster has overtaken Yudenitch. During the retreat he lost all control of his army, which became a flying, huddled mob streaming across the snowy wastes, butchered like sheep by. the pursuing Reds. The army suffered every conceivable horror from starvation, privation, exposure and thirst, subsisting on handfuls of flour mixed with snow. The numbers rapidly lessened until the emaciated, ragged, gaunt remnant crossed the Esthonian frontier accompanied by a handful of prisoners and hordes of starving refugees.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
