At the conclusion of the labor Triple Alliance meeting it was officially announced that the Alliance emerged stronger than ever. A resolution was carried congratulating the railwaymen on their fight, but instructing the alliance committee in the future to summon the three executives if any union ' fails to secure its demands.—Aus.-NZ. Cable Assn. [A cable received from London last week said: The Daily Express states that serious differences have arisen in the Labor Triple Alliance, and the meeting of the three executives is expected to be stormy. The miners and transport workers complain that the railway men have rendered the "direct act fon" weapon useless and wrecked their nationalisation plans. The chief quarrel is between Mr. J. H. Thomas, M.P. '(General Secretary of the National Union of Railwaymen), and Mr. Robert Williams (General Secretary of the Transport Workers' Federation).
