RELIEVING ITS DISTRESS. | By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 30, 11.40 p.m. I London, Nov. 27. In the House of Commons, at question time, Mr. Lloyd George said that the Government was fully conscious of the seriousness of the economic situation in Central Europe. The Supreme Council was doing all possible to alleviate it, hut it had decided that only comprehensive arrangements for a large International credit would be adequate. This involved the participation of the United States, who had been urged accordingly.—Reuter Service.
