THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
ONLY A SCHEME AT PRESENT. MARSHAL FOCH'S VIEWS. By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, Nov. 24 The Paris correspondent of the New York World interviewed Marshal jfocu, who said:— 'T think it is superfluous to talk about the League of Nations and the protection it assures France. It is only a scheme at present and we have not yet put it into practice. How can a league which does not exist protect France? The league is a great expectation; it is not a fact. Besides, the league will be able to maintain peace only if we exact the stern and complete fulfilment of the terms. The idea of revenge is in the minds of all Germans and we cannot remain unarmed with such a Germany facing us. Germany was neither crushed nor dismembered and will start the war again when she is ready."
