HIS SOtfTH ISLAND TONE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. Mr. Massey spoke at Moore's Hall, Puverton, on Saturday night, the address being on the lines of his Timaru speech. The hall was packed to the doors. Dr. Trotter (Mayor River* ton) presided. The Premier was given an enthuslastic Rearing, At thfc conclusion a moturn expressing confidence in Sir Joseph Ward failed to find a seconder, and a motion of thanks to the Premier and confidence in the present Government was carried by acclamation, no dissent' being heard.
Prior to tiie meeting Mr. Masscy wai entertained by the Riverton Borough Council, and he received two deputations on local matters. He motored to Dunedin to-day and will speak at Waimate on Monday, Duntroon and Kurow on Tuesday, and Oamaru on Wednesday. He will then go north, probably giving a day to Christchurch. 8 *
