THE PEOPLE'S. DOEOTHY DALTON—"QUICKSAND" To-day's new bill commencing at the matinee at 2 presents the great favorite Dimpled Dorothy Dalton in her latest Paramount play, "Quicksand." When a woman leaves her home to become a dancer in the cafe owned by the man ttiio hopes to win her from her husband, she is treading on "Quicksand." .But Mary Brown was actuated by a high purpose, and it kept her from defilement. Like a pure lily in a swamp of pestilence, she moved amid the sordid surroundings of the cabaret, but she was dominated by a high resolve—to clear the stain from her husband's honor. She trod on "Quicksand" and w:is ;ioi engulfed. The latest gazette and comedy are also on the bill. EVERYBODY'S. MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2 p.m. "THE STRANGE WOMAN" At the matinee this afternoon the Fox special feature, "The Strange Woman," will be the chief attraction. This fine picture drew a big attendance last night ■and proved im»m.. ■■Ay popular. It is a | powerful dramatic picture dealing with' ! a young girl's idea on marriage and free love and is in every way equal in interest to tha previous Pox special "Woman and the Law." In the present picture the leading rolo is p)u. : , <■<! by Gladys Broekwell. At the night session there will be a doubn- programme, when the World film feature, ".loan of the Woods," will be added to the hill. This picture features June Elvidge, Mad h 'e Evans and John Bowers. On .Monday night Anita Stewart will be featured in her first picture for the First National Exhibitors, entitled "A Midnight Romance."
