A SOLDIER'S DIVORCE.
£IOOO DAMAGES RECOVERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waiiganui, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, Vincent Norman Eandolf, a returned soldier, of Utiku, was granted a decree nisi against Ellen Eandolf. The co-respondent, Jor.eph Arthur Casey, a farmer of Ohutu, «'as mulcted in damages of £IOOO, which was the sum claimed. The jury recommended that the major portion of the costs be allocated between the woman and her unborn child. The evidence in Ihe case showed thai the co-respondent, a married man with a young family, admitted intimacy with the woman while the husband was at the war.
