SINISTER APPROVES SYSTEM, Advice lias been received in a letter from the Under-Secretary for Publi# Works to the New Plymouth Borough Council that the Minister was prepared to approve of the adoption of tha oreinan system of working the tramway services This draft Order-in-Cwmcil has now -been referred to the Engineer-in-Chief for his revision in go far as the work proposed to be carried out to enable the system to bfs adopted, with Bafety to the public and employers is concerned, and as soon as he has indicated his approval, or otherwise, of th» proposals, the matter would be further proceeded with. *
