At Burnside, ISI fat cattle were yarded, the quality being much better than last week's . yarding Tho entry included a number of \ pens of extra prime bullocks. Competition I was fairly keen, but values declined 20s to 30s per head Extra prime bullocks to £3B 10s, prime £29 to £33. medium £24 to £27 10s, lighter £l6 to £l9 10s, extra prime heifers to £23 ss, primo £IS to £l9 10s, medium £l4 to £l6 10s, light and aged £lO 10s , to £l3 10a Pat sheep: 1830 penned. The quality was better than'has been the case for I some time, a iarge number of pens compiling really prime animals Owing to bu,. getting frozen moat the entrv exceeded requirements, and a very considerable drop in PTlces was experienced. Prime declined 4s and lighter sorts 2s per head, and in mrnv cases , this drop p-as exceeded. Extra prime wethers 63s Sd, primo 55s to 5Ss, medium 45s to 50s lighter 32s to 38s, extra prime ewes 59s Oil.' prime 47s Cd to 535. medium 38s In 435. light S4s to 37s 6d. There was a fair sprinkling of shorn sheep of very good quality, best wethers realising (o 435, others 34s to 38s Lambs: 74 penned. The quality showed a decided improvement. Competition was keen and late rates were fully maintained. Extra prime 36s Cd, prime 31s to 335, medium 27s to 29s Gd, light 24s upwards. The enttt' ot pigs was the largest for soino mon'hs. Competillon was keen, and prices were slightlv above late rates. The entrv of stores was unequal to the demand, and prices paid were the highest of the season.
