THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF ".SOCIAL QUICKSANDS." To-night is the last screening of the favorites, Francis X. Bushman and Beverley Bayne, in Metro's latest comedy drama entitled ''Social Quicksands." It is a play of pleasant surprises, romance and adventure and proves highly entertaining. The latest gazette, comedy, and interest films are also shown. DOUBLE BILL TO-MORROW. To-morrow's new bill, commencing at the matinee at 2 p.m., presents Bryant Washburn in the fine Paramount play, "Way of a Man With a Maid," his latest effort, and a comedy drama of no mean order. The evening bill will include Belle Bennett in the five-act Triangle drama, "Reckoning Day." EVERYBODY'S. GLADYS BROCKWELL IN "THE STRANGE WOMAN." * One of the most remarkable subjects ever treated by a dramatist is that adopted by William J. Hurlbut for his stirring drama, "The Strange Woman," which shows at Everybody's to-night and at both sessions to-morrow. Originally produced in New York on the dramatic stage, is played for one whole season on Broadway and with equal success the following year on the road. Subsequently it was'novelised and over 1.(100,000 copies of the book have been sold. The story deals with the right of a woman to live with the man she loves, without going through a legal marriage ceremony. Gladys Brockwell plays the title role. A fine supporting programme includes a two-reel Keystone comedy, also a Billy West comedy and a topical budget. l
