The Department of Agriculture, Industrie!!, and Coramerco has received the following cablegram, dated November 15, from the High Commissioner for Now Zealand, London: Wholesale prices Imported mutton and lamb hare been reduced.,, No change in prices for English meat or Imported beef. Following are wholesale prices: Beef, fores and hinds respectively, English is l%d and Is 4%d. Imported 10% d; have not delivered entire shipments. Mutton and lamb, EnglMi Is- U%d, Imported 10% d. All ret"!! rricor. were r.iis"d about 2d per lb. from October C, In consequence of increased wholesale prices (rein 10 my telegram of October 4). Retail prices imported mutton and lamb have been reduced, and as no change In prices for English, present difference between English and Imported amounts to M per lb. Hemp.—Manila market Is easier, but steady at the decline. ".I" grade, October-December j shipment, £SO; January-March shipment, £49 Ills. New Zealand market quiet. High points October-December shipment, quoted at £43; fair, at £4G 10s. Wool sales close to-day. Tery strong market throughout series, principal buyers being English and French. Prices have been advanced since opening. Compared with last series, coarse cfbssbreds 1(1 per cent, higher; medium, about 15 per cent.; fine, 11) per cent, above closing rates last series; merinos, 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, higher; current vilue: Merinos, 4s 2d and ss; crossbred*., fair 2s 8d and 4s 2d; medium, 2s 4d and 2s lOd; coarse Is lid and '2s 2d.
