-MASTERTON HIGH SCHOOL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. Sir Francis Bell, Minfster for Education, visited Masterton to-day, and, after receiving a deputation, promised definitely to provide a high school for Masterton. He did not indicate what the vote would be, but stated that it.i would be something substantial. The question of site is'to be settled later, but the Trust Lands Trustees have offered twenty-six acres free of mortgage. BURGLARIES IN CARTERTON. Carterton, Nov. 1!). Howard Harold Armstrong, "saddler, who has been in business in Carterton for many years, was arrested this morning on two charges of breaking and entering, one charge of breaking, entering and theft, and one of being in possession of house-breaking implements. The arrest was made bv Detective-Sergeant Mason, Constables Miller and Greg'or. THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. Tnvercargill, Last Night. The general assembly opened at Invereargill this evening,' there being the largest, attendance in the history of the church in the Dominion. The Rev. .T. A.
