MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

SITTING AT WAITARA. At the Waitara Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., A. E. Julian, proprietor of the Masonic Hotel, was convicted of failing to enter in a book kept for the purpose, a record of a sale of liquor lor delivery into a prohibited area. A flr.a of £2 was imposed. Four local residents who were found on licensed premises after hours, and who failed to appear when the charges against them were called, were each fined £1 and costs. A Native was convicted of a breach of the Borough by-laws, in driving a motor car at night without a light, and was fined £1 and costs.
