INGLEWOOD.
LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN. . (From Our Own Correspondent.) Nov. 18. A well-attended meeting was held in the supper room at the Town Hall this evening, when a strong muster of the Paritutu troop was in attendance. The Mayor, Mr. J. Sutherland, briefly introduced the visitors, and invited Colonel Weston to take the chair. Lieut. Goldsworthy explained the objects and kirns of the Legion. On the motion of Mr. C. O'Carroll it was decided to form a sub-unit of the Paritutu troop in Inglewood. The meeting was adjourned, and a convener appointed to c.il) ;t meeting at a later date, to elect ollicors. Lieut. Standish, officer in charge of the Paritutu troop, welcomed the new members, and offered to attend a meeting of the newly-formed units and give any information i.nd assistance that may be desired. The Mayor briefly thanxed the members of the New Plymouth troop for their attendance and assistance in the formation of the unit.
