PRICES IN ENGLAND.
THE SUPPLIES OF FOODSTUFFS. By Telegraph.—Press' Assn.—Copyright. ' London, Nov. 15. Mr. G. H. Roberts (the Minister for Food), addressing the Labor Conference, announced the resumption of the control of fish, with a view to reducing prices. He expected the price of bacon would fall at the New Year, and a reduction in the prices of other commodities be effected as exports increased, thereby correcting the adverse exchange. Australian and New Zealand meat was arriving in large quantities, and was sold to the wholesalers at a loss.
