THE BUTCHERS' STRIKE.

DEMONSTRATION IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. , Auckland, Last Night. A demonstration by strikers was made outside a butcher's shop in Pongonby Road this afternoon. A carter was delivering meat when a crowd of strikers unhitched the traces and a wordy warfare ensued. Two men were arrested on a charge of using insulting behaviour and attempting to prevent a man from following his occupation as butcher. The men were subsequently bailed out by the president of the union.
