MADMAN WITH A GUN.
MURDEROUS ATTACK OX FAMILY. SUICIDE AS CLIMAX. Adelaide, 0et.27. At Port Adelaide, early on Sunday morning, Herbert Burnett, who hail been employed as barman by James Lawrence Wise, licensee of the Commercial Hotel, obtained entrance lo the bedroom of Eileen (25) and Norah Wise (IS), and tired three shot-; at them. He 'then fired twice at Mr. and Mrs Wise, and finally three shots into his own head, and lulled himself. Eileen was wounded in the head, and Norah was wounded on the chin and the left elbow. Harnett apparently had 'the deed in contemplation for some time. Five weeks after Wise assumed control of the hotel, he dismissed Burnett on account of offensive behaviour, a ivorn. door key was found on his body, ;
