Dairy farmers in several Otago districts are bewailing the shortage of feed (states a southern paper), and it comes as the local witticism of, one centre that the grass is barely strong enough to keep the rabbits alive. Even Sur.thlanders are crying out about the scant pasturage in certain localities. Under these conditions the milk supply is roticeahly short, by as much, probably, as 10 per cent, by comparison with the ordinary November supply. This may mean that the reduction in price of milk |Will this year be later than usual. Some dairy produce men are also wondering whether it would not be wise on Die part of the Government to take early steps to insure against a winter shortage of butter, by limiting the quantity to be exported. Few women can resist the magic words "new fashions", and you will be thoroughly delighted at the summer millinery now exhibited at Shipton's. The showroom is a veritable garden of flowers with all the lovely models and ready-to-wears, etc. Call and view Sai{ton'» Corner, Kltham
