The New York World editorially says: "Mr. Hughes is correct in saying that had America been given a chance to express an opinion she would not havo favored the fourteen points, but Would have insisted on a victorious peace. The Allies renounced their right to present a bill for the general cost of the war by accepting President Wilson's points.
