POLICE OVERCOME TROUBLE. j By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Nov. 13, 7.10 p.m. Cairo, Nov. 12. The official prohibition of demonstrations, combined with a strong display by the police, has had a quieting effect in Alexandria. A few hundred noisy demonstrators -were dispersed aftdr skirmishes with the police, and a few arrests were made, but there was nothing like an organised movement.
