The Prince of Wales visited the Linfcoln Memorial, the national headquarter# of the Red Cross, and also visited grounded soldiers. The Prince of Wales was entertained by the National Press Club. In a Speech he said: 'lt would have been the cause of very great regret to me Bad the President's illness unhappily prevented me fulfilling my keen desire to visit the United States this year pnd, for this personal reason, as well lis for much wider ones, I rejoice in his Steady improvement. "The spirit of your soldiers and sailors, both officers and men, appealed to me very strongly and made me wish to know their country and their kin. The rapidity of your organisation, moreover, enabled me to realise the devotion and strength with which this mighty Ration ran espouse a noble cause.—Auss2. Cable Amu,
