COAL IN BRITAIN.
A REDUCTION IN PRICE. By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 11. It is understood that the Government is decreasing the price of coal by tialf-a-crown. The Daily Express says that, following a conference with the miners' leaders, the Government will announce tomorrow a substantial reduction in the price of coal. The Government has also promised to introduce a Bill limiting coal owners' profits. [Owing to the increase in pay to the miners and a reduction of working .hours, in accordance with the report of Mr. Justice Sankey's Commission, the price of coal was recently increased by six shillings a ton.]
