TE HENUI CHURCH.

ROSE TEA AND ENTERTAINMENT. A very prettily dressed rose tea and entertainment was held in the Sunday School hall of Holy Trinity Church, Te Henui, yesterday afternoon and last night. The hall was decorated in a most artistic manner with fern fronds and bamboo branches, which the profusion of flowers on the stalls made a most pleasing and picturesque effect. There were splendid varieties of goods on the several stalls which were erected, the flowers and produce stalls being particularly well supplied. There were many beautiful rose blooms, while the home industries section was very well represented by the many kinds of cakes,' etc., which had been prepared for the produce stall. Messrs Duncan and Davies also made a small but very choice display of seasonable flowers and plants. Afternoon tea was served both' inside the building and out on the lawn. Throughout the afternoon there was a very large gathering of those interested in Holy Trinity Church, as well as many from outside the boundaries of the parish, and good sales were made at all the stalls.
