PLOT IN AMERICA.
REVOLUTION PLANNED.
OVERTHROW OF THE GOVERNMENT AMBITIOUS BOLSHEVIK SCHEME? By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 12, 12.3 a.m. Vancouver, Nov. 8. The United States Department of Justice states that a union of Russian workers has been organised by William Szatow, chief of police at Petrograd, for a revolution and the overthrow of the United States Government.
The Union has sixty "locals" and seventy thousand active members, all pledged to overthrow the Government. The last convention was held in New York on January 10th. Propaganda is carried on in every part of America through the newspapers, and paid agitators. At Newark (New Jersey) Federal raiders captured a complete cojinterfeiting plant, with which it was planned to manufacture money for a Bolshevik regime. Bundles of bank notes ready for circulation were secured. The latest haul of the Union members includes six hundred men and women, who were taken with red flags, revolvers, and tons of pamphlets. All those arrested are to be deported.—Reuter Service. GENERAL DEPORTATION. DEALING WITH MISCHIEF-MAKERS; Received Nov. 12, 12.45 p.m. Washington, Nov. 8. It is announced that the Department of Justice will urge the deportation of all radicals seized throughout the nation. Judge Palmer, in a statement, said this, is the first big step to rid the country of these foreign trouble makers. Other raids will be made.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
