Lord Fisher writes: "By land and sea we are approaching prodigious aircraft development, which knocks out the present fleet and makes invasion practicable It cancels England being an island and transforms the atmosphere into the battleground ° f the future. "As locusts swarmed in Egypt so will aircraft swarm in the heavens, carrying an inconceivable cargo of men "and bombs, some acting as battle-cruisers and others as destroyers. AIJ arc cheap, requiring only a few men as a crew. No one's imagination can yet depict it. We have a star guiding us if we only follow it.
