The Prince of Wales visited Parliament, and the Senators and Commoners were presented to the Prince. At his request, the members of the press gallery were specially presented, and afterwards since the Prince was made a life member of the gallery, i In his speech, the Prince declared it I impossible to leave Canada without ' visiting the centre of political life. He i hoped to return at an early date and find Parliament established in its new home.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. FAREWELL MESSAGE. I ! ' A TOUCH OF HUMOR. I Received Nov. 9, 11.36 p.m. Ottawa, Nov. 8. In a farewell message to Ottawa, the Prince of Wales referred to the Dominions as sister nations, and humorously admitted receiving shoals of letters from charming Canadian girls. He regretted that he was not equipped with a dozen hands in order to shake everybody's within a month. His right hand was helpless, having not yet recovered, but its condition was symbolic of the warmth of his welcome. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. VISIT TO UNITED STATES. Received Nov. 10, 12.20 p.m. Washington, Nov. 7. Mr. Lansing and other Government officials will meet the Prince of Wales at the National border. Mr. Marshall (the Deputy President) will receive him at Washington. The official programme includes a visit to White House and the Mount Vernon Naval Academy.
