STRIKES THOUGHT INEVITABLE, By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrieht. Received Nov. 9, 5.5 p.ni tt. o , Washington, Nov. 8. lhe senate Committee, which investigated the steel strike, considers that the attempts of labour or capital to establish industrial autocracy in the United States are not allowable. Strikes are apparently the only way labor can obtain its just demands, but strikes ara barbarous. The Government ought to establish a mediation board on the lines of the war boards, with the object ol preventing industrial disputes. The Committee favoured compulsory investigation, but did not favour compulsory arbitration, leaving the outcome to publia opiwoß.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable-Am#,
