THE PEOPLE'S. * DOUG. FAIRBANKS TO-DAY. ■ -To-day's big new bill at the People's, commencing at 2 p.m., presents Douglas Fairbanks in his latest and greatest Artcraft production, "He Conies Up Smiling." To make a picture like this it is necessary to have Doug. Fairbanks, a saucy little canary, a few automobiles, half-a-dozen square miles of scenery, and a bunch of human beings, mix well, let the canary get away, and see what happens. Fairbanks has a thrilling fight" equal to his best in other pictures. Wild automobile rides add a strong element of the spectacular to the picture. A Billy West comedy and Gazettes are also shown. FATTY ARBUCKLE-TUESDAY. The announcement is made of the first of a series by the world's greatest screen comedian, Ror oe "Fatty'? Arbuckle. This super comedy, entitled "Camping Out," is quite a new departure in Arbuckle comedies, and is described as being "swift as a bullet from a Colt .44." The season is limited to two nights only, Tuesday and Wednesday next, with one special matinee on Thursday at 3.30. Elsie Ferguson in "Under the Greenwood Tree," provides the dramatic portion of the bill, which includes "The Fighting Trail." EVERYBODY'S. , MATINEE, 2 p.m. TO-DAY. "SOCIETY FOR SALE." Gloria Swanson is the lead in a clever-ly-entertaining comedy-drama entitled ''Society for Sale," which is showing al both sessions at Everybody's to-day. The production is replete with human interest, and all those little touches that make for delightful entertainment. A fine cast, including William .Desmond, is engaged in the play. The programme is varied with interesting supports, one of the most important being a side-splitting "Sunshine" comedy entitled "Who's Your Father." There is also an interesting Topical Budget and a two-reel Keystone comedy, "The Iceman's Bride." Tfce I whole programme is bright and enter- | taming- throughout. The box plans are at Collier's.
