The tinder presented the ticket at the "totn" :oliect the dividend, and \vas severely . js-cxamined as to where lie had procured it. Fearing trouble, the visito;' overcame his indignation at being requested to account for having the ticket and admitted having picked it up on the lawn. Payment on the first horse was delayed for about ten minutes, but no explanation of the "crook" tickets has been forthcoming. The totalisator clerk informed ti.e speculator in question that a number of the "crook" tickets were in circulation.
