The Canadian group objected to the eight-hour day resolution at the international conference on the grounds that it provided a forty-eight hour week instead of a forty-four. The Canadian group preferred the women's conference resolution making an eight-hour day basis without overtime, and providing a thirty-six hour weekly rest. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
