ADMINISTRATOR OF SAMOA.
COLONEL R. W. TATE APPOINTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. > It was announced, by the Defence Minister- to-day that Colonel Robert Ward Tate lias been offered and has accepted the position of Civil Administrator of Samoa. He went to Samoa early this year to relieve Colonel Logan as acting military administrator. [Colonel Tate -was a barrister and solicitor and was prominently identified (vith volunteer and territorial forces ilurinc the war. He gave his services as Adjutant-General and early this year he went to Samoa to relieve Colonel Logan as acting military administrator.]
