FUTURE USES OF THE HOME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 4. The annual meeting of the Governors Of the Veterans' Home, Auckland, was held in Wellington yesterday. The report and balance-sheet showed that the accumulated funds now amount to £11,340, plus £SOO held in trust. The average number of veterans in tlie home last year was 30; it is now 27. The buildings and furniture are valued at £6215. . As the veterans are rapidly dying out the question of the future conduct and uses of the home is to be considered by a special meeting of the Governors early next year. The Governor-General was re-elected president; the Hon. E. Mitchelson and Colonel R. J. Collins were re-elected hon. treasurer and hon. secretary respectively.
