AUSTRALIAN PADRE'S CASE. DENIAL OF THE CHARGE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Nov. 2, 5.5 p.m. ■■ London, Oct. 30. The Rev. Father O'Donnell, interviewed by the Australian Press Association, stated he had at last received the precise details of the Government's charge. "Every Australian who knows my record of the past five years will see the absurdity of fathering upon me the statement which it is alleged I made at Killarncy," said Father O'Donnell. "I brand these alleged statements as a tissue of falsehoods, and absolutely repudiate any and every disloyal statement." Father O'Donnell points out that it is nonsensical to suppose any conspirator would enunciate such sentiments in the public room of a hotel, and it is pitiful that the Irish Government should formulate such a charge.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. QUESTION OF, A COURT-MARTIAL. Received Nov. 2, 11,5 p.m. London, Nov. 1. The question of the court-martialling of Father O'Donnell has not yet been Bettled by the Australian General Staff.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
